| In 2017, we produced another full-length scripted play — LOVE, SEX, AND THE I.R.S. penned by the NJ-native team of Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore. We graduated to full sets and lights in our humble legion hall! We had five performances over two weekends and were on our way! Many of our faithful touted this the funniest thing they ever saw! The premise: John — in charge of filing tax returns for him and his roommate Leslie — fraudulently filed Leslie as his wife under ‘married’ due to his commonly feminine first name. Since Leslie had previously filed as a man, a mild-mannered I.R.S. agent is tasked to investigate. Hilarity ensues when John talks Leslie into dressing up as his ‘wife’ for the agent’s visit! This was the last production in the legion hall before the pandemic as our next production moved to another venue. |
